I honestly don't remember where or what I was doing during the 9/11 attacks. It was 8 years ago and I didn't completely understand what happened so it escaped my mind. 20 years from now, we probably will remember and commemorate 9/11, but I notice a pattern in how we do it. A year after it happened, citizens of America were more passionate about it, but now, people are less enthusiastic. Which proves the point that the past is the past and this is one of the events that may be lost in history. There were rumors that our own government had planned it, although many people prefer to stick to natural belief and say terrorists did it. If so, they may have chosen America to try and make a statement saying that they could break us, but it had the opposite effect. America was one of the most powerful countries at the time. They thought if they could get through our defenses and attack, they could do that with any country and their defense systems. It was a mistake on their behalf. It caused the invasion of the Middle East. If the government did it, it would put the American government on the spot, for genocide would be the charge.
If I wrote a story about 9/11, I would choose the terrorist's point of view, expressing what he felt when he hijacked the plane, his point of view on the terrorist plot. It would be very interesting.
